Event Details

Autumn Event focusing on Sustainability: This promises to be a great event, featuring Geilston’s bumper apple crop, games and trails, you can crochet with ‘waste materials’ with Sewsillylily, try your hand at rag rugging and see what the Cardross Knitters can do with scrap wool. Cardross Climate Action Network will be there showcasing their work to help explore, sustain and increase biodiversity at the Station Garden and in Cardross Bay.
Geilston Apple Jelly 2023 vintage, utilising what might have been discarded windfall apples along with some other interesting jellies made from foraged fruits will be available. Local wildlife groups will be there to let us know how we can help support insect life and the Helensburgh Beekeepers will also have some of the bees’ wonderful end product for sale.
Keep fuelled with a delicious hot soup and bread lunch, kindly supplied by The Ginger Breadman and the good old Tea and Homemade Cake stall
And just to add to the atmosphere there will be a ‘Wandering Minstrel’, local piper Phil Barlow
