Event Details

Helensburgh has been called the ‘Garden City of the Clyde‘, and there are lots of lovely local gardens to visit! Many of these are open through Scotland’s Garden Scheme.

Glenarn Garden is open 21 March to 21 September, Dawn to Dusk https://scotlandsgardens.org/glenarn-2/
Glenarn Plant Sale 2-5pm Sunday 17 August

There are a wide range of plants available for sale, cultivated from the unusual and sometimes rare shrubs and trees at Glenarn. There are over 50 different rhododendrons for sale as well as magnolias, acers and lots of other things that do well on the West Coast of Scotland. Prices vary and range from £4 to £40.

Cream teas are also available and there’s lots to see in the garden – eucryphias and hoherias looking great despite Storm Floris. All proceeds from the day go to Scotland’s Gardens Scheme charities and locally to Rhu Church Tower Fund. The Sale runs from 2-5pm and entry charge is £6 per adult, children under 16 free
