Carol will begin this workshop with a demonstration which will be a starting point for your own creative journey. Come and enjoy the colourful displays found in late Spring/early Summer at Geilston.
Some basic materials will be available but you may prefer to bring your own.
There will be tea and cake available throughout the day. Please bring along your own packed lunch and dress appropriately for the weather – will it be sunscreen and sunhats??

Thursday 14th August 10am – 3pm Art Workshop for beginners with Julia Gurney
“Creating a Composition using Colour and Contrast”
Julia is a very experienced teacher and will start the day with a demonstration of techniques. Participants will then be guided and supported on a one-to-one basis throughout the day.
Places for 12 budding artists. Charge is £40/person all materials provided.
Tea and cake will be provided on arrival and throughout the day. Please bring your own packed lunch and dress appropriately for the weather – will it be sunscreen and sunhat ??

Sunday 31st August 11.30am – 1.30pm & 2pm – 4pm Family Art Workshop with Charlotte Anker
Participants will begin by creating a small, simple sketchbook to include plants/insects found in the garden. This will be followed up with a more detailed painting of a bird/animal surrounded by vegetation. Taking inspiration from the garden.
Cost for the day: £10 per participant
Materials will be provided
Children must be accompanied by an adult who is welcome to take part in the workshop or enjoy the garden for the duration of the workshop.
Preferred Age Range: 6 years to 12 years
