Friends of Duchess Wood is holding a bat walk from 7.30-9pm on Saturday, August 30th.

International Bat Night is on Saturday 30th August and to mark the occasion Friends of Duchess Wood are hosting a bat walk from 7.30pm-9pm.   Bev Clarke from Loch Lomond Bat Group will bring her knowledge, enthusiasm and bat detectors for an entertaining and informative walk suitable for all ages. Come and learn some fun facts about these fascinating mammals. Did you know they need to eat 3,00 midges per night?   Hear their ultrasonic clicks as they hunt their prey and the squelch as they catch a midge.
