Internationally-renowned broadcaster James Naughtie will be at Cove Burgh Hall in conversation with Ruth Wishart. Doors open 11.45am, lunch from 12noon and In Conversation from 1pm.
The journalist and broadcaster is well-known as a former presenter of BBC Radio 4’s The World at One and The Today Programme. Brought up in Aberdeenshire, he began his journalistic career at the Aberdeen Press and Journal, before going on to The Scotsman, The Washington Post and The Guardian followed. He is now a a special correspondent for BBC News and presents Radio 4’s Bookclub. His voice will be particularly prominent this year as he specialises in the US elections. He also has a ubiquitous knowledge of opera and literature and has presented series on both.
