The return of the traditional New Year Swim at Rhu Marina!

Are you up for the Dook challenge? Are you brave enough to take the plunge to raise funds for the Helensburgh lifeboat? New Year’s ‘Dookers’ will need to register individually to enter this event. While there is no entry fee, we welcome your donations which help us to train and equip our crew to save lives at sea. ‘Dookers’ should arrive at Rhu Marina. Check in will be open from 11.15 am. The swim starts at 12.00pm and finishes at 12.30 pm.

You will be given a 2025 wristband for entry where you will listen to a Safety Briefing before the Dook begins. Once you have completed the Dook you should get dry and into warm clothing as soon as possible. Once dressed you can get soup at the RNLI Boathouse.

We look forward to seeing you at our New Year’s Day Dook. Your donations help us save lives at sea. Please note – No walk-ins on the day; pre-registration via Eventbrite is required.
