Helensburgh Community Hub
It’s Your Space…Helensburgh Community Hub is a community-owned building that opened in summer 2021 and hosts a range of activities and opportunities for people to get together.
We know that connecting with other people makes us happy. So we want the Hub to be a friendly, welcoming place where people can pop in for a cuppa, join a class, volunteer their time, access important services like Helensburgh and Lomond Foodbank or Red Cross mobility aids, suggest ideas, buy a book, become a member and much more.
Currently our weekly book sale, run by a team of volunteers, is open on Wednesdays from 10am-4pm – and it’s growing. For 2022 it will have a brand new name and more opening hours. We have a fantastic collection of very cheap books and jigsaws for all ages and interests – it’s also a nice space just to come and enjoy some peace and quiet, maybe do a bit of a jigsaw or have a cuppa. All the money raised from the sale of books goes towards the upkeep and development of the Hub.
The Hub is owned by the community; it’s run by a Board of volunteer Trustees supported by a part-time Development Manager.
We are planning more opportunities for our community to connect through – movement and exercise classes, coffee mornings, volunteering opportunities for all ages, storytime for kids and more…
Our vision – Helensburgh is a strong, compassionate and inclusive community.
